Up and About
Somebody up and decided she’d had enough of this crawling business.

For the first time, we’re growing a patch of flowers. These are about 20 varieties of heirloom sunflowers.

We capped off a day full of new transportation (including planes, trains, and busses) with a boat ride under the Golden Gate bridge and around Alcatraz.

In a suprise move, the hospital discharged mother and child. We’re going home!

We just got to hold her for the first time. And even better, she got to nurse. Still in ICU, but she’s nearly all better!

Without so many tubes sticking out of her, she can finally smile at us.
She’s ready to be with mommy, but the intensive care unit wants her for just
a little bit longer.
