This is actually a comment on the picture of the "commercial chicken" you posted last Sunday, August 10, 2003 (have you ever thought about enabling comments on your pics?). I was under the impression for some reason that all of your chickens are commercial varieties. Does this mean that you're raising "heirloom" chickens? If so: Cool!

See you in October?

We are indeed raising "heirloom" chickens. Though for animals they are more commonly referred to as "heritage breeds".

I've toyed with turning on comments for the photos. Well, writing a commenting section, actually, since all of the code that runs that site is hand-made. But I get a *lot* of trash comments here that I have to spend time cleaning up, and don't want to have to do that for the photos. If I make a commenting system, you'd likely have to register or something.

And, yes... we'll see you in October!

Um... when your hens get gray in tooth (in beak?), um, do you invite them to dinner? And if so, do you "dress" them yourself?

See you soon!
