Local Harvest

  1. 55 listings for Madison…seems low. I’ve found that lots of folks don’t list on things like this because it costs money to do so (I don’t know if this one does, but some do). As for me…to find my local harvest I need only to open the closet in my room where last fall’s potatoes and squash are quietly resting.

  2. nope, it doesn’t cost anything to list in our Web site. We have 4500 members, including about 2000 small farms. (The rest are farmers markets and food coops and restaurants). Yes… I know there are waaaay more than 2000 direct marketing family farms in the nation. This is a work in progress… I’ll be happy when we list 50,000 farms. Wanna help us get there? just tell your local farmers about the Web site.

  3. What a great webpage — thanks for sharing, Eric! (Plus, it lists my closest market as being on Martha’s Vineyard, which sounds like a great excuse for a ferry ride to me!)
