Overheard at the Farmers’ Market

Overheard at the farmers’ market (from people under 3 feet tall):

  • (while looking at a rooster) “Don’t touch it. It might be poisonous!”
  • (while examining bins of produce) “It’s a weed.” “It is not a weed!”
  • “It looks like you live on a farm.”

  1. Hey Eric,
What’s a half dozen eggs going for these days? I bought some today. They are good for two weeks, and they aren’t refrigerated in stores.

  2. Six eggs for a dollar, plus fifty cents if you take one of my cartons.

Shipping to Japan would add to that, I’d guess :^)

  3. If I’ve learned anything from this topsy-turvy mixed-up world of ours, it’s that one should alway listen to midgets and consider well their counsel…

  4. You were listening to midgets?
