Hockey Season

Hockey season starts tonight, and I’m ready. This year I’ve joined an on-line fantasy league along with a few other Metafilter readers. It looks like it’s going to be fun. I’ve never played in a fantasy league of any sort, unless you count the baseball computer games I used to play by myself, but the idea always intreagued me.

  1. This has nothing to do with fantasy sports…I just wanted to say that I am fairly certain, after extended research, and despite the fact that I have heard his name approximately 263 times since 1989, I have not ever, in fact, met K. Scott Rowe in person.

  2. I think that I may have seen him juggling in front of the gym on occasion…but I am fairly certain that I never put his name with his face until yesterday (ah the glory of webcams). Incidentally, aside from that unfortunate Risk incident, I never gamed with Eric…I almost never used a computer in undergrad…and I have no idea who Leroy is…

  3. Are you certain, Marj? How could you have missed him? He was one of the user gurus. He alway hung out with Leroy. Eric, didn’t he used game quite often with you? I know he did with us… Odd!

  4. You might like this fantasy game thing. It has been my experience that it is just a math game where you use your knowledge of the game and the scoring system along with estimating probablities. I often do rather well in these things depending on the sport (baseball or football are my best ones).
