My hat, it has three corners.

Three corners has my hat.

And if it had not three corners,

it would not be my hat.

When I was but small, Iliked that little ditty. I like hats, but I’ve never had a three-cornered one. My hat collection is currently very small, and it doesn’t include any balloon hats, which is a pity, really.

Blaise, every time I buy a large fowl, I try it on a la Mr. Bean.

Mein Hut er hat drei Ecken

    Drei Ecken hat mein Hut

und hat er nicht drei Ecken

dann ist er nicht mein Hut!

Gosh, Eric! I learned that ditty in German when I was in the third grade in Tucson, AZ.

I probably could get around well in Germany if everyone talked in nursery rhymes or war protest songs: “Excuse me, sagt mir wo die Blumen sind?”
